Normandy

WN 665 - A 667 type bunker, Omaha Beach - Easy Red Sector

Our Normandy section covers upper and lower Normandy and includes the 7th and 15th German armies respectively and will also feature the Kreigsmarine and Luftwaffe designations.

For those of you new to the defensive structures built by the Germans during the Second World War, the Germans had each section or area of defense put into designations. For instance Lower Normandy where the D-Day landings took place for such areas as Omaha Beach fell under the designation: "AOK 7 – KVA H – KVGr Bayeux / KVUGr Bessin". AOK 7 standing for 7th Armeeoberkomando, or Army command of the 7th Army.

Below we will include the old menu which will be updated to see all of the sites visited with an "at a glance" feature much like it is below now, or you can dive right in and start searching through our completed designations which fall under Upper Normandy and Lower Normandy sections from the main menu under "Bunkers in France".
