2-10 Rue de la Batterie

A very easy location to find and if you are already in Arromanches then you don't need to drive here as it is located right in the heart of the town itself. If you are walking from the center of the town where the restaurants and hotels are then head east up a road called Rue Lucien jolly, the bunker cannot be missed as it sits on top of a small hill with an American Sherman tank perched atop the WN43.

If you are driving from the east and heading into town take the Rue du Calvaire which turns into the Rue Charles Laurent, this takes you directly into Arromanches where you can park your car at the parking lot in the center of the town, it's a paid lot.

If you are driving from the south take the Rue du Petit Fontaine road again it leads directly into the town center.

I used two different cameras on the 2016 visit. The Nikon Coolpix 35mm and the Apple iPhone Six S Plus.

The steps leading to the 612 type bunker.

The business end of the 612 bunker. This would have held a 75mm gun.

The front end of the mighty Sherman tank that sits atop WN43.

A really nice shot of the Sherman tank. This is a huge tourist draw during the summer months.
